ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with such subjects as twelve approaches to problem-solving, the N-step disciplines, reductionism, modeling and simulation, lateral thinking, total systems intervention (TSI), the systems approach, the design approach, expert systems, mathematics-based methods, DoD-suggested approaches, decision-support systems and cost-effectiveness analysis.
