ABSTRACT

Nowadays, cloud usage has grown exponentially, and cloud-specific costs are projected to rise faster than overall IT spending. Although large companies have effectively implemented innovative SaaS solutions or embraced a ‘cloud-first’ approach to new technologies, others have not completely benefited from migrating any of their corporate resources to the cloud. This is due to the ambiguity between shifting IT services into the cloud and ensuring an efficient and agile cloud transition strategy. Moreover, this strategy can lead to more complicated, inefficient, and expensive IT systems in some situations than before. The real benefit of cloud transformation can only be granted when this approach is part of a systemic digital transformation strategy. This research aims to address two major concerns, Factors that influence cloud adoption in organizations and cloud computing roles to improve information systems agility. This chapter suggests that cloud computing affects Information Systems efficiency across organizational capacities (agility). One of the main reasons for this study is the lack of researches to understand how cloud computing enhances information systems agility
