ABSTRACT

Chapter 11 looks at several case studies pertinent to many topics covered in this book. Case studies are essential to further understanding how to manage a facility. The chapter helps readers get a practical and real-life insight into what facility management can look like and what problems may be faced in the industry. Case studies are a helpful way to understand real-life cases that could arise for a facility manager. By examining past mistakes, we can look at how to avoid issues in the future. By looking at how other facilities solved unexpected problems, facility managers can look to implement these strategies if faced with similar issues. While firsthand experience is an extremely effective way to learn, studying examples from those who had these experiences can strongly equip those looking to effectively manage a facility.
