ABSTRACT

Feedback records in a specific time range can indicate an issue with the current operation of a business or an issue that appeared at a specific time in the past. In this chapter, the temporal aspect of data is explored. When gathering feedback from users, MySQL offers a range of different date and time-based data types. When viewing feedback, many different options are available to the reader, depending on how close or how far away from the data the people wish to be. When working with feedback from customers, often the time the feedback has been left may be important. In this chapter, the authors outline the process of viewing feedback from customers in a real-time environment. In this chapter, the authors outline the process of using Google Charts to generate JavaScript-based graphs. During the analysis of feedback, patterns often occur in the time of day the feedback was left.
