ABSTRACT

The particle swarm optimization based algorithm for the optimization of multilayered radar absorbing structures has been implemented using FORTRAN programming language. The subroutine developed for the computation of overall reflection and transmission coefficients of multilayered RAS is validated in this chapter by comparing the results with those obtained from full wave simulation software (FEKO) as well as with those published in open domain. The superior performance of the indigenously developed code over full wave simulation software (FEKO) is also established here by presenting the optimal design of a two-layered RAS using a pre-defined database of 31 materials.
