ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how to estimate the vapor pressure of pure multiple components at various temperatures, boiling point and dew point temperature at fixed pressure, and boiling point and dew point pressure at constant temperature. The chapter also describes methods for estimating the density and molar volume of pure and multicomponent mixtures at different temperatures and pressures, and also studies the effect of temperature on density using different software packages to check the results of manual calculation. Further, it utilizes five commercial software packages: UniSim/Hysys, PRO/II, Aspen Plus, SuperPro Designer, and Aveva Process Simulation.
