ABSTRACT

Foundational overview of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) and the intersectionality of environmental and social justice to deliver on organizational strategic JEDI vision and value creation.. Navigating the VUCA world in the 21st century requires that leadership adopt a new paradigm focused on an integrated bottom line – planet, people, and profit. Global trends including customer demands, employee requirements, investor ESG focus, resource scarcity, transparency, and societal demands for justice and equity. Adopting a JEDI strategy requires leaders to dive deep into ESG factors and systems and to consider the impact of their intersectionality. Reporting frameworks and ESG rating agencies include a variety of factors and priorities leading to significant differences in ESG risk assessments for the same organization. Transformational change requires leadership to analyze internal and external systems through a social and environmental justice lens to create a JEDI aligned strategic vision.
