ABSTRACT

Organizations exist with ecosystems and are comprised of internal and external systems that impact their JEDI journey. Using the OIM facilitates taking a deeper dive into transformational factors and operational systems highlighting opportunities for realignment to support JEDI strategy. Data gathered through the Cultural Assessment for Environmental and Social Justice Impact provides insights on perceptions of an organization’s JEDI mission, vision, strategy, goals, and systems. The strategic roadmap is created to close the gap between vision and existing state. Internal systems such as an organization’s talent ecosystem design has a significant impact on access and opportunity for underserved groups. Redesigning others systems such as procurement can expand an organizations JEDI footprint. Engaging with community groups and industry associations provides insights and an opportunity to refine and model JEDI leadership. Designing and delivering an organization’s North Star JEDI vision requires senior leadership commitment, system assessment and redesign, resource alignment, and continuous improvement.
