ABSTRACT

This chapter is the first one in the third part of the book. The third part describes the applications of the Lambert function and the generalizations that were described in the second part. Chapter 7 collects a number of applications of these functions in physics. It is shown that the traveling time of bodies falling in resistant media is calculable with the aid of the Lambert function. Besides of this, there are applications described in this chapter from electromagnetics, celestial mechanics, thermodynamics, plasma physics, quantum physics, among other areas.
