ABSTRACT

The focus of this chapter is the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation. The Schwarz-Christoffel transformation maps the interior of a polygon onto the upper half of the complex plane. Due to the importance of the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation for solving problems, more than the usual number of problems have been worked. Polygons with and without vertices at infinity have been treated with transformations given for most polygons with up to four vertices. To simplify the treatment of polygon with parallel lines that meet at infinity, the boundary conditions for parallel lines that meet at infinity are derived
