ABSTRACT

The analysis of structures involves determining the distribution of internal forces and moments (diagrams of axial forces, shearing forces, bending moments, and torsional moments), and the stresses, deformations, and displacements of the elements of a structure when it is subjected to external loads or actions. This chapter focuses on the different types of structural analysis commonly used for reinforced concrete structures. A comprehensive study of second-order analysis using the stiffnesss geometric matrix and buckling analysis will be presented.
