ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to assess the residual capacity of concrete structures damaged by the corrosion of the reinforcing steel. The assessment focuses on existing concrete structures, with a differentiation made between D- and B-regions. The methodology used in this chapter is mainly based on measuring the crack width caused by the expansion of oxidized reinforcing bars. Several detailed examples are provided to illustrate the procedure.
