ABSTRACT

In the eighth chapter, three experimental campaign, based on impedance spectroscopy using the Insulin Meter to assess non-invasively and in real time the insulin bioavailavability after administration in clinical diabetology treatments, are described: (i) in vitro on eggplants, (ii) ex vivo on pig abdominal non-perfused muscle, and finally (iii) in vivo on a human volunteer, using subcutaneous injection as a reference of insulin.
