ABSTRACT
The first chapter begins with introducing the readers to the world of epidemic, endemic, and pandemics. A detailed timeline, starting January 2019 to November 14, 2020, is presented explaining the turn of events that have taken place from the time China reported the infections to the World Health Organization (WHO). Gradually, it acquaints the reader with the current situation that the large population across the globe is facing due to the COVID 19 pandemic. It also mentions the precautionary measures that can be taken to curb the spread of the pandemic and how augmented reality can work as a supportive technology.
