ABSTRACT
We discussed implementing our proposed augmented reality (AR) application for social distancing in the last chapter by setting up the Vuforia database manager and photo gamming the points on an image used to represent as overlaying information on the actual marker data. We also saw the already existing AR applications widely used to ease up accessibility for people in different areas. This chapter recites the mitigation remedies and recommendations for abiding by the social distancing guidelines for fighting COVID-19. The introduction and description for all the current existing applications for social distancing such as Google SODAR, Aarogya Setu, 1point5, DROR, and Canada COVID-19 alert have been given in the beginning of this chapter. The significance of our proposed application and its benefits over all the existing applications is provided in the lower section of this chapter and the technical discussion and AR solution for public health measures. Combining digital technology sources, a short paragraph at the end of this chapter explains the use of different digital technologies to tackle COVID-19 issues and challenges.
