ABSTRACT

Intraoperative cholangiogram (IOC) has been recommended routinely for the detection of bile duct stone/s and the delineation of biliary anatomy as a road map for dissection during cholecystectomy. Fluorescent cholangiography (FC) is a novel technique for the intraoperative identification of biliary anatomy. By virtue of displaying the extrahepatic biliary anatomy, FC may facilitate safe dissection and thus avoid injury
