ABSTRACT
An important component of laparoscopic cholecystectomy constitutes proper identification, isolation, ligation/clipping and division of the cystic duct. Hem-o-lok clips are considered more secure and recommended for a short and dilated cystic duct. The presence of stone in the cystic duct must be dealt with meticulously.
