ABSTRACT

With the outbreak of the highly contagious coronavirus 2019, the entire world was forced to go into lockdown. While medical organisations remained open, there were fundamental risks and challenges in seeing patients. The most obvious solution was to change key delivery methods to digital, something that many felt was long overdue. Remote consultations became a primary mode of continuing care, as patients were not allowed to travel or leave their homes during this period. Telemedicine was one such process that played a significant role in making health care reachable and convenient for both doctors and patients.
