The former may be exploited for sound transmission of music or wave transmission of message. Diamond's primary wave is 18.5 km per second that is much faster than the sound wave in air, steel, alumina. Consequently, diamond's sound is very "pure" with the highest peak to noise ratio. The synergism of pure sound, lightness, coldness, and longevity makes diamond film the ultimate tweeter diaphragm for speakers. Although the DLC coating is effective to extend the frequency range of reproduced sound, but the ultimate diaphragm is made of diamond itself. However, the ability of the diamond diaphragm to reproduce sound with such a high frequency means that the human ears will have the best sound at lower frequencies. As diamond has the highest SAW speed, it would be ideal to be used as SAW filter. Thus, diamond SAW filter using plane for sound transmission can produce most clear sounds at highest frequency.
