ABSTRACT

When establishing traverses in the field, traversing methods can be used to determine the relative position of vertices with details needed to describe a given area. Radial polygonl is ideal for quickly establishing a large number of points in an area without obstacles to viewing all points from a single point, usually central. As computational practice, irradiation survey data from a polygon made on a soccer field is used. The radiation method is applied to map the points, determine Cartesian coordinates of the vertices from measurements of angles and distances, and determine the perimeter and area of the surveyed polygon. The method of matrix determinants of Cartesian coordinates of vertices is used in the area calculation. The calculated data and the results are exported in a file for later use.
