ABSTRACT
This chapter defines stars and notes that they have been a popular subject for origami. It gives advice on how different readers might use the book: beginning folders, intermediate and experienced folders, potential and experienced creators, readers wanting to use specific paper or make a particular subject, and teachers. It the defines the five groups of stars in the book and difficulty ratings for folding the units and assembling them.
