ABSTRACT
Throughout the course of the book, various aspects of big data in petroleum industry have been explored, with each aspect providing a deeper insight into big data’s role in different oil and gas operations. The 6Vs, benefits, applications, implementation, AI algorithms, big data platforms, research, real-world implementation, superior implementation traits, challenges and future scope all depict a clear picture onto where exactly big data stands in the industry, which is what will be aimed to be provided in this chapter. This chapter will provide a condensed comprehension of all pertaining aspects of big data in the book and equip the reader with brief understanding of most of them in a short and crisp manner.
