ABSTRACT
After diving into the benefits and applications of big data in petroleum industry’s each operation that its implementation brings to the table, this chapter focuses on comprehending the actual implementation and its workflow in the industry as a whole along with few specific operations mentioned in the previous chapters. Moreover, in lieu of the industry’s transition into digitization alongside its widespread implementation, it is important to shed some light on how exactly the implementation is undertaken in the industry. This chapter provides a brief explanation of the standardized workflow of implementation of big data while providing the reason for each of them in petroleum operations with respect to real-world implementation. The chapter will equip the reader with comprehensive understanding of all spectrums of implementation aspects of both industry-wide and operation-specific big data usage.
