An overview of corporate real estate methods and techniques with worked examples. Strategic approaches are discussed extensively. The earlier parts examine how commercial leasing costs in Dubai might compare to other international markets. This chapter provides a general overview of real estate implications of lease management – examining the important headline terms practitioners and advisors should be aware of. The analysis continues by examining a range of financial (buy versus own decision-making) and non-financial factors for corporate occupiers in Dubai (with case studies). Dubai is compared to international markets in this applied chapter, linking the theoretical discussions in the previous chapter to a real world application. The chapter highlights occupational trends and evaluates key decisions a global corporate occupier would need to make when setting up in Dubai.
