ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the problems associated with heavy oil transportation, particularly the required values of viscosity to allow its transportation by pipeline. The evaluation of HIDRO-IMP-T technology in pilot plant is also described, which aims at producing transportable oil by heavy oil low severity conditions. The effect of reaction temperature on properties of upgraded oil is discussed.
