ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the details of secondary or supporting lean tools detailing their scope. Details of core supporting lean tools Poka yoke, Kanban, autonomation, visual communication, and Single minute exchange of die (SMED) are presented with their features, examples, and applications. This is followed by a discussion on the related concepts of Optimized Production Technology (OPT), leveled production, and enterprise resource planning.
