ABSTRACT
The common aspects of all electrical power equipment are presented, starting with the basic laws governing the production of voltage, mechanical force, and torque. Also presented are various power losses and techniques of minimizing the power losses and maximizing the operating efficiency, parallel operation of multiple power sources, and the temperature rise and its adverse impact of the equipment life in sustained overload operation.
