ABSTRACT

Now that you have mastered your data and seen how to connect it to your challenge(s), what is missing? Could you collect some additional, different sources of data to help you understand even more about your challenge(s)? We guide you through the different ways you can collect data and the benefits and challenges of each method. We discuss surveys and interviews, how to design them, how to implement them, and who to ask to tackle your questions. We also explore with you the fascinating possibilities for collecting multimodal data, such as the audio and images in video recordings, and provide you with examples from education practice, to help you see what might be possible in your context.
