ABSTRACT

Strangely enough, an art manifesto intent on considering the impact of artificial intelligence not only for artistic manifests but society at large has yet to emerge. Why is that? At its root stands the human species’ position in the world, now seen as threatened by an emerging technology that is challenging our very existence; however, we have kind of been here before. The authors leave the readers with some key takeaways and reflections of the brave new digital world and suggestions on how art should be the conduit to seek a meaningful coexistence between humans and machines, something perhaps best articulated through an art manifesto.
