ABSTRACT
In this section, subcritical water extraction (SWE) is introduced as a new method in extracting various compounds, especially essential oils from plants. Also, SWE is compared with other methods in the field of plant extraction. In this study, SWE applications in plant extraction are discussed. The economic study of extraction with subcritical water and hydro-distillation for industrialization of this method is also mentioned.
