ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the principal processes for the manufacturing of composite parts. The following topics are thus reviewed: molding processes, injection processes, molding of hollow axisymmetric components, pultrusion, additive manufacturing, and automated preform manufacturing. Many acronyms used by professionals to describe the fabrication processes of composite products are detailed. Considering the importance of composite tonnage today, composites industry is faced with environmental aspect and regulations for the fate of waste are becoming more and more restrictive. The recycling of composites is discussed as well as the waste treatment methods.
