ABSTRACT
The sandwich structures occupy an important place in the manufacture of composite parts. They appear in almost all application areas. Historically, these were the first composite structures both lightened and efficient. In this chapter, emphasis is given on the identification of key properties and precautions for use of sandwich materials: simplified flexure, manufacturing and design, inserts and attachment fittings, repair, and nondestructive inspection.
