ABSTRACT

A labyrinth dripper features a wide passage with indentations. These indentations bring swirls in the water flow that will cause the pressure to drop and keep the water moving. These drippers have three different units such as base, cap and a disk. The base of dripper has a small inlet, which is inserted on into a drip lateral or hose, and the cap has an outlet from where the water is discharged. Protected Cultivation (PC) is a term used to describe an emitter that maintains the same output at varying water inlet pressures. PC emitters deliver a precise amount of water regardless of changes in pressure due to long rows or changes in terrain. There is a flexible diaphragm inside the dripper that regulates the water flow and tends to flush particles from the system. These drippers contain silicon membrane which assures uniform flow rate. Button drippers are appropriate for most drip watering applications on a flat terrain.
