ABSTRACT

The Editor window and its use for writing scripts and user-defined functions are described, as well as the Live Editor window and its use for writing live scripts and live functions. All presented commands, regular and live scripts, and functions are explained with simple examples from the various fields of technology. This is followed by the application examples; they include a script for converting Brinell hardness, a user-defined function for computing the stress factor of a cross-bored shaft, a live script for calculating the dew point using slider controls, and a live function for calculating some parameters of a two-stage gear train.
