ABSTRACT
A 21-year-old semi-professional rugby player is admitted to the ED as a trauma call after a head-on collision during a tackle. He presents to hospital triple immobilised and on a spinal board. He reports an immediate loss of sensation and significant bilateral upper and lower limb weakness after the incident.
