ABSTRACT

Continuing the previous chapter’s focus on human behavior in cyberspace, this chapter highlights the relevance of criminological, sociological, psychological, anthropological, biological, and ethical models to understanding cybercrime’s actors. To better understand cybercrime and the cybercriminal mindset, it is imperative to rely on various theoretical frameworks in analyzing crime from different perspectives. The cybersecurity challenge needs partnerships with various disciplines to draw on what we know and understand human nature, how humans interact and manage systems, and how they deal with each other.
