ABSTRACT

Abdominal pain involves a wide range of diseases. It can occur in a variety of internal medicine, surgical, and gynecological diseases. The abdomen refers to the anterior trunk from the epigastrium to the pelvic bone. Abdominal pain can be caused by the invasion of exterior pathogens, immoderate diet, emotional upset, physical trauma, insufficiency of Qi and Blood, and deficiency of Yang. The symptoms can be in a wide range, and it can be varied by its causes. The diagnosis in Chinese medicine doesn't utilize technological equipment, it relies completely on four diagnostic methods to collect the medical history of patients, analyze the etiopathogenesis, and treat the disease. Abrupt onset of abdominal pain, a desire for warmth, an aversion to cold that is aggravated by cold exposure, absent thirst, preference for sleeping in a curled position, loose stool or constipation, and discharge of a large volume of clear urine.
