ABSTRACT

This monograph addresses very important and extremely topical issues connected with the viral infection risk during the pandemic. Transport, which is perceived as the foundation of human mobility, has been strongly affected by the global pandemic, but at the same time has a very significant influence on the spread of the epidemic. The lack of a methodical approach to the problem of epidemic threats in transport, including infection in an epidemic, was motivation for this monograph. This chapter briefly describes how people are exposed to viruses in everyday activities, also in different transport processes. It also provides a synthetic overview of the current state of knowledge on this issue.
