ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a synthetic overview of risk management methods. It presents risk management principles, framework and processes according to ISO 31000. Some examples of different approaches and main subjects of risk assessment in different transport services or modes have been also presented. In terms of the pandemic threats, the outcome of an epidemic risk assessment should be identification followed by implementation of preventive measures adapted to specific conditions of each mode of transport, intended to minimise the risk of pathogen transmission.
