ABSTRACT

For Total Manufacturing Assurance (TMA), leading the organization is a fundamental, and significant, role of management. If this is effectively accomplished, the consequence is motivated and empowered people who provide innovation and excitement in support of the overall organization. All organizational components and levels must realize that together they serve a common purpose and strategic goals, which address long-term growth and sustainability. It is imperative that all walls between departments be eliminated and a uniform cultural focus on organizational direction be consistently understood and adopted by all. This advocates for a free flow of information across the organization. To ensure the proper motivational environment, the appropriate leadership style must be used, yet be flexible to support the overall organizational motivational tactical strategies implemented. The TMA organization remains robust in its ability to attract and retain the best talent available, a rigorous approach to performance appraisal, professional development, and succession planning is in place. Additionally, the ability of the organization to advance forward is dependent on the use of effective teams. The Reactions to Group Situations Test (RGST) serves as an insightful tool to aid in team composition to accomplish decision-making in the appropriate time frame to support the organization.
