ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to matrix-valued functions. The main tool for norm estimates of matrix-valued functions in the nonnormal case is the quantity g(A) for a matrix A, which captures the complications, coming from an intricate Jordan structure for A, completely in terms of the matrix entries of A.
