ABSTRACT
In this section, we describe how to prepare a design basis report for a safe and cost-effective design within the contract specification. Readers will be familiarized with the latest methodology and best engineering practices being followed at reputed consulting houses in India and other international countries.
Typical examples of design basis reports for a steam turbine generator building with Indian standards and an auxiliary plant building with American standards are given for the reader’s reference.
