ABSTRACT
This chapter helps the reader to visualize a safe and cost-effective structural system for a plant building. This is derived from reference information such as equipment layout, load data, geotechnical investigation reports, and environmental conditions. Readers are also given exposure to the selection of materials and compatible structural frameworks like RCC or steel or a combination of both with an appropriate foundation system in order to complete the work within the scheduled time.
