ABSTRACT
The Fundamental Theorem of Galois Theory is quite a lot to take in at one go, so it is worth spending some time thinking it through. We therefore analyse the Galois correspondence for a series of nine examples, starting with simple ones and becoming more complicated. The more complicated ones are studied in considerable detail, illustrating the key features of the Galois correspondence.
