ABSTRACT
Energy use and production can be a major source of environmental impact. This chapter presents global, regional and local issues of environmental impact. Global issues such as global climate change, regional issues such as acid deposition and local issues such as air pollution are also presented. Greenhouse gases causing global warming and air emissions causing pollution, and the modeling of air pollution, acid rainfall and radiation hazards are also illustrated.
