ABSTRACT
This chapter reflects the requirements of a high-lift system in the view of airworthiness of aircraft. It summarizes the major certification specifications relevant for take-off and landing flight performance and the dimensioning conditions for high-lift systems. At the end, a short introduction into the requirements of noise certification is given, since this is also related to high-lift system flight performance.
