ABSTRACT
This chapter summarizes the methods to simulate flows around high-lift systems. It is emphasized, that both, experiments and numerics, are simulations methods that try to approach reality at its best. But, they still are models. Regarding experiments, emphasis is put on error sources and their handling. For numerics, only a brief introduction can be given in the scope of the book for understanding the basic principles of the different methods.
