ABSTRACT
This last chapter finally discusses the aspects of aerodynamically design a high-lift system. It starts with an orientation of high-lift design within the process of aircraft design. Afterward, the design problem is outlined in terms of degrees of freedom, design targets, and constraints. After an overview of methods to solve the design optimization problem, the chapter closes with a discussion on different formulations of the design problem.
