ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with how a multiplier can be converted into a squarer, divider, and square rooter, and a how a divider can be converted into a multiplier and square rooter. A multiplier-cum-divider can be converted into multiplier, divider, squarer, square rooter, and vector magnitude circuits. Multipliers-cum-dividers can be obtained from multipliers and dividers. Details of the conversion of function circuits are described in the chapter. The op-amp OA is configured in a negative closed loop configuration and a positive DC voltage is ensured in the feedback. Hence, the voltage at its positive input voltage must be equal to the voltage at its negative input voltage.
