ABSTRACT

Multipliers are classified into time division multipliers (TDMs), peak responding multipliers, and pulse position responding multipliers. Peak responding multipliers are further classified into peak detecting multipliers and peak sampling multipliers. Types of peak responding multipliers are double single slope, double dual slope, and pulse width integrated multipliers. The TDM can be implemented using triangular wave saw tooth wave and without using any reference wave. In general, multipliers can be implemented with analog multiplexers and analog switches. The principles of analog multipliers designed with analog multiplexers are described, and the principles of multipliers with analog switches are described in the chapter.
